The 2024 Subaru Solterra gives you a new way to explore our world. It features an advanced all-electric, zero-emission StarDrive® electric powertrain and uses the e-Subaru Global Platform. Plus, Solterra is the first AWD electric vehicle to feature our legendary standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. It’s also our most advanced SUV ever, featuring a charge time reduced by about half and improved cold-weather charging for 2024. There’s state-of-the-art technology like a stunning available 12.3-inch touchscreen and a standard DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation System, along with the segment-leading capability of 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

As the first-ever all-electric SUV to feature the capability of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the Solterra takes this legendary all-weather, all-terrain traction system to exciting new places. The balanced design of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive creates uniform stability and delivers an optimal distribution of power for maximum traction and confident handling. The 2024 Solterra has class-leading ground clearance and short overhangs for easy maneuverability over rough terrain so you can go places traditional electric vehicles typically can’t reach. Standard dual-function X-MODE with settings for snow/dirt and deep snow/mud lets you choose the perfect traction setting to match conditions for enhanced stability and control, even while going down hills. Subaru StarDrive® with Driving Mode Select and S-Pedal
Subaru StarDrive offers an enhanced driving experience through Driving Mode Select, which lets you choose from Normal Mode for typical trips, Eco Mode to conserve battery power, and an extra-responsive Power Mode. This advanced technology is engineered with the latest breakthroughs in electric vehicle technology to deliver substantial on-demand torque at all speeds for exciting everyday driving. Steering-wheel-mounted paddles give the ability to dial in your preferred level of regenerative braking, while S-Pedal Drive adds even more braking to help reduce the fatigue of switching between gas and brake pedals.

EyeSight® Driver Assist Technologies
The 2024 Solterra features standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technologies, which monitor traffic movement, optimize cruise control, and warn you when you’re swaying outside your lane. The Pre-Collision System can apply full braking force and bring you to a complete stop in emergency situations. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist can take some of the stress out of driving by helping with steering, braking, and throttle control — both in daily traffic and on long road trips.

DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System and Front Cross-Traffic Alert
Working in conjunction with EyeSight, the standard DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, new for 2024, is like having an attentive co-pilot along for the ride, available to give a helpful alert if a driver becomes distracted or drowsy. This system is designed to enhance the effectiveness of other safety systems while also increasing passenger safety within the vehicle. If its steering column-mounted camera detects a distracted, drowsy, or incapacitated driver, it will provide an alert. DriverFocus also combines with other safety systems, such as Emergency Driving Stop System, by allowing them to intervene earlier when necessary. Front Cross-Traffic Alert, also new for 2024, watches for unexpected traffic from either side and can alert you to approaching vehicles — including those that may not be visible from the driver’s seat.

Panoramic View Monitor
Panoramic View Monitor is an available 360-degree surround-view camera system that gives a clear picture of the objects around your Solterra, delivering enhanced awareness and safety when parking and reversing.

All-Around Awareness Technologies
The 2024 Solterra features a comprehensive suite of active safety features to help protect you on every drive. The Blind-Spot Monitor system warns you with a visual indicator on each side mirror if it senses a vehicle in your blind spots. New for 2024, Front Cross-Traffic Alert can alert you if unexpected vehicles — even vehicles you may not be able to see — approach from either side of your Solterra. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps warn you of traffic approaching from the side as you back up. And with Parking Support Brake, the Solterra can even stop itself to help avoid objects behind you.

Safe Exit Assist
Safe Exit Assist, a standard safety technology on Solterra, will beep and display a message if it detects approaching vehicles or moving objects before you open your door. It’s just one more way the Solterra watches out for you — even after you’ve arrived at your destination.

Specifically designed for all-electric vehicles, the e-Subaru Global Platform is the most rigid vehicle platform we’ve ever built, featuring strategic crumple zones and a reinforced structure for secure crash protection.
Eco-Friendly with Upgraded Charging
Improved DC Fast Charging
The 2024 Solterra can fast charge in about half the time as the previous model, now taking about 35 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% using its built-in fast-charge capability. The StarDrive powertrain gives Solterra an EPA-estimated range of up to 227 miles with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as well as a variety of options for fast and convenient charging, both at home and on the go. The Solterra comes with a charger that works with any standard 120V outlet for Level 1 charging. You can also have a 240V Level 2 charger installed at home so you can plug in overnight and wake up each morning with a full charge.
Improved Cold-Weather Charging
Charging your Solterra is fast and easy even when you’re heading out for cold-weather fun. The upgraded charging system on the 2024 Solterra now charges two times faster at 32 degrees and four times faster at 14 degrees, helping keep you on the go no matter the conditions.
